Work Party Report: Very successful – good turnout and nice weather. Everything was done including diverters, new gravel laid, road smoothed out at gate. Since we didn’t have a work party last year it shows how good shape we’ve got the road in. May want to look at the launch contour for future work parties. Other Site Maintenance: Greg brought up an issue: the field behind the white fence has had PG pilots knocking out boards. Nearly 30 boards down. In-person meeting at the Ellenville Country Club Grill (Golf Course) Meeting began at 7:36 with 8 members in attendance. Treasurer’s Report: $2085 in the bank, with only lawnmowing expenses in the immediate future. 64 members, roughly a half dozen new. Launch Purchase: Wayne will be meeting with Tony on Tuesday to iron out the final details. We are looking at $650K paid over 10 years, with possible help of the Free Flight Foundation. If they do their normal support of 50% matching funds it would be the largest outlay in their history, so we shouldn’t expect that level. They also normally purchase easements, making this another groundbreaking effort for them. As this begins to happen we will need to take up the responsibility of policing the site ourselves, so there is lots of discussion to be had about this transfer. (Officer’s meeting on Wednesday to discuss via Zoom). Club Road Trip: Hyner for…
