Flight Logging Initiative
Wayne would like to encourage everyone with a GPS vario to log all flights on Leonardo, which hosts and scores all flight tracks. This will help out with awards.
The logging site will be linked to new webpage for new club.
Launch Logbook
- Logbook on launch is approved by Tony. This is to be entered by all pilots who visit launch regardless of whether they fly.
- Separate from the electronic flight logging above
- Working on how to store up top.
- Pages will periodically be scanned and put on website.
New Website
Mike Strother will design and post by next meeting. All links will be on there.
New Launches
- Overlook site at Woodstock location will be pinned down, then a proposal will be put in. Woodstock has already expressed willingness, but will not allow vehicle access all the way to the top. Hope to work out better access with time. Multiple LZs are available.
- Bear Mountain will be worked on next
Greg’s Parachute Party
March, hopefully a flyable weekend.
Fly-in/Fun Meet
If someone will volunteer to run it, it would be fun to do again. Paul Voight has meticulous documentation and will provide guidance.
Final Thoughts
- Reminder to vote for new governance proposal!
- Would be nice for the new club to concentrate on the local Ellenville community. Something in the logo? Other Volunteer activities like park cleanup?
Next Club meeting
Items for your consideration:
- Road Construction (ice dam is working!)
- new club logo
