Meeting started 6:40 with 13 folks in attendance, several H2 from NASA/Greg
- Treasury: $956, no earmarks, 31 members
- New website started, still being worked over, online but not ready for business yet.
- Need to divide up management to different folks – awards, site guides, archive old forums, membership, etc.
- Planned club merchandise with a business that will fulfill orders. Coolie in Rock Tavern may be good for this. Need a volunteer to research with them.

- Logo contest, Most likely close entries in May.
- Would Greg and Paul agree to doing awards? (answer: YES!) Already made a list of possible awards. Volunteer of year, Rookie of year, XC by glider class, etc.
- Two work parties: Tony and Greg’s launch/roads. One foreman for each (Jimmy, Tim).
- diverters on Tony’s road needs to be raked, but not much else. Some stone left.
- next fall trees at road launch need to be done
- Windtalker needs to be reset.
- Ongoing saga of the journeys of the Windsock: this time put down by wind talker?
- Airsport promotion in the community
- Local colleges/universities/malls, setup kiosks/gliders at events
- Looking for somebody to spearhead this.
- Hyner will have an open house Memorial day
- Primary and Secondary LZ are opened up by tree removal
- Want to encourage PG to come, special seminars for them
- New USHPA governance proposal passed, not the way Paul wanted it.
- Our region had the highest percentage that voted.
- 1600 for, 1200 against nationally. (our region came out against it)
- New map will include 5 regions, NE, South, SW, central-west (NOT midwest), NW.
- 1750 constituents per director
- 10 board members total.
- All votes for directors will be national, but the final directors will be selected by an algorithm that requires reps from each region, HG/PG representation, 2 women.
- Paul is still on this board for 2 years
