What wings do you fly?
I didn't fly this year. If I had, it would most likely have been my Wills Wing XC 142. That being said, twice this year I un-bagged and assembled my Aeros Stalker rigid wing; the first time to work on improving my written setup instructions and the second time to test those changes, renew some velcro closures, and to test pushing the glider around using a canoe cradle I bought this year.
Freedom 170, Falcon 4-170, Sport 3-155.
The Falcon 4 has the best handling and the easiest to set-up. It's lands itself like it's on auto-pilot. It's idiot-proof, which is why it's perfect for me. I must thank Paul Voight for selling me one of his.
But the Sport 3 is absolutely the best and sweetest flying dream machine (except I get to use it while awake).
I mostly been flying the Freedom 170 the past few years and giving a few lessons on the Falcon. Last month I bought a U2 and Ultrasport. I'll be looking to add a few more gliders to the quiver over the next year to give for visiting pilots some expanded choices. My favorite is whatever one I am flying at the time 😉
Hi, I am flying a 160 Airborne Fun and it has lived up to its name! The size is perfect for me as it turns out. Stepping back into a single surface was the best thing I could have done to rebuild confidence and get some solid experience after years (decades) of sporadic flying. Thank you, Fred... and Tony, for selling it to him/me. I am looking forward to also taking out my 132 Blade next year, but it is going to take some strength training and current skills. Somehow it became much heavier since I flew it when I was younger. Not sure how that happened.... lol...
