Greylock L.Z. update... 🙂

This is from Gary Trudeau...

<snip>

Hi Paul
I would appreciate if you could get below message out to the pilots. Thanks
Gary

I would like to thank everybody who responded to the survey about the development of the Greylock Glen area, which would have resulted in the lose of our LZ at Mt Greylock. I met the the Town of Adams representatives this week and we had a nice talk about our sport, our history at Mt Greylock and our needs to safely land. The Town of Adams representatives agreed to work with the Massachusetts Hang Gliding Association to save our LZ and keep us with a safe place to land. During this meeting they agreed to not locating any buildings or other obstructions in our LZ that might interfere with us landing there. Things could not have gone any better for us on this subject. See you at Greylock this up coming flying season.

Man! What a great way to end the week!

A huge Thanks to all involved, especially Gary, for helping make this happen. Mt Greylock is a truly valuable site, one that is important to preserve for both our present and future pilots to enjoy.

Cheers, Wilhad

This is great news, I'll share it with the New England free flight group, it's great to have such a positive result. I love flying Greylock, it's a special place. Thanks Gary Trudeau for his tireless stewardship!! Best, Zoe

Hi,

I got the update on Greylock, and literally started crying, I was so grateful.  Damn it, as luck would have it, I was in the check out line at the supermarket at the time.  Oh well.

A HUGE Thank You to Gary for his stewardship and commitment!

I hope to fly Greylock again.  It is a very special place!

Cheers,

Jane
