• Brace 50th Anniversary Party

    🎉 Labor Day Weekend and the Brace 50th Anniversary Party 🎉 The club at Mount Brace is planning planning for Saturday August 31 as the party day with Sunday Sept 1 as the rain day. We’ll confirm when we get a read on the weather. Hopefully the weather will work for some flying. Even if there’s no flying it would be cute to get a group together, drag a few bottles of sparkling cider up to launch, and toast the mountain! Specific meeting times for going up to launch will be coordinated later. Families, friends, and guests are all welcomed. Please share this invite with your community. Anyone who is a current USHPA member with an appropriate rating and a signed waiver would be welcome to fly. Membership dues will be waived. There will be a BBQ dinner starting around 6:30pm.     Our April meeting will be via the normal Zoom link. We will discuss the recent trail expedition at Hosner Mountain and ongoing site development efforts, along with the usual club topics.

  • Hosner Mountain Hike & Plan Evaluation

    We will meet with representatives of the NY/NJ Trail Conference (NYNJTC) on Monday, May 12th, at 1:30 PM, at the trailhead to evaluate HVFF's site plan. The meeting place will be at the parking area under the overpass at Taconic and Miller Hill Road. We will group and drive up to the Launch via the Douda Property access “No Hike”:).
