Wednesday June 30 via Zoom
Meeting began at 8:11 with 11 members
Next Meeting July 28 will be in person, and will be mainly social with a business-only zoom meeting the Wednesday after. Cohen’s Bakery will host, perhaps putting us outside. officer’s meeting also coming up.
Treasury – $1725 + 1 member. Latest mowing bill is included.
USPHA – Nothing new of note: see last month’s minutes for description of online training platform. Look at Wills Wing website for update on move to Valle de Bravo. Ricardo knows the guy who will be taking over. Steve Pearson is staying on.
Seminar -Paul Voight may offer a landing seminar, working out the details.
Work Parties – Tim is looking for three people to help him one morning wrangling equipment to seal Greg’s launch – sprayer, etc. Can’t schedule too far in advance because need 3 days of dry weather. Will tentatively aim for the weekend after July 4. Extra folks can work on whacking weeds, etc. Meet at Greg’s at 11 am if the all clear is issued. Kenny/Wayne are looking into getting the county to pour gravel in the pullout from Tony’s road. Also more spreading to be done on Tony’s road.
Club Donations Accounting: Ross Wisdom will take over during the land purchase period, lots of paperwork. Wayne connected with Randy Leggett from FFF, had long conversation about how the donation works. He is actually no longer on the foundation but is willing to be the club advocate for the land purchases. Nothing else like this is happening right now, so the timing is good.
Jane’s Artwork – Logo has been reworked, final print is ready. Jane also has a set of flying related beer labels. “Run it Out Stout”
Ric’s Flying Report: Weekdays have been consistent, not so much weekends. Forecasts were not matching the reality. Ricardo has been catching the end of the day when it should be blown out. Mike has gone to do trike discovery flights at Crow Island in Massachusetts and highly recommends it.
